Simple or Advanced?
The AvatarDoc inspector has two modes. Advanced, the default, shows every tool. Simple shows only what most avatars need. Switching changes what you see, never what you made.
- The mode switch.
- The header.
- The toolbar.
- The panel of the selected entry, here the Hat toggle.

Right click menus are the same in both modes.
Switch modes
Section titled “Switch modes”Press Simple or Advanced at the top of the AvatarDoc inspector. The AvatarDoc window, under Tools > DocMe > AvatarDoc, has the same switch.
The choice belongs to you, not to one component:
- Every AvatarDoc component follows it, in the inspector and in the window.
- Unity remembers it the next time you open the project.
- Switching in one place switches every open AvatarDoc inspector and window at once.
Nothing is lost
Section titled “Nothing is lost”Switching only changes what the inspector shows. It writes nothing to your component and builds nothing again.
Simple never hides what you made. The tree shows every entry, and a part that holds something keeps showing. For example, a toggle that uses Materials still shows its Materials section in Simple. A tag filter you set in Advanced pauses in Simple, and works again when you switch back.
